The purification schemes were simulated to obtain the commercial grades of glycerin mentioned. It was demonstrated that it is possible to recover the methanol to a purity of 99% by weight which can be reused in the production of biodiesel. The Technical grade glycerin is a colorless, odorless, hygroscopic and sweet viscous liquid. It is a product conditioned for industrial use in the manufacture of different types of products, including alkyd resins, lacquers, paints, printing inks and plasticizers.

Transesterification
