Some of the most ecological biodiesel feedstocks are used in cooking oil and
lavish grace. Biodiesel manufactured from waste grease results in an 86%
decrease in greenhouse gases, contrasted to petrodiesel. There are two common
classifications of waste oil and grease. The clearest and easiest to work with
is used cooking oil, also called waste vegetable oil or used fryer oil. This is
an edible oil that has been used multiple times in a deep fat fryer.
The main problem with Brown grease Biodiesel Plant from
using oil and greases is the high percentage of free fatty acids (FFAs) in the
feedstock. Fats and oils are collected of triglycerides, three fatty acid
molecules combined to a glycerol molecule. These free fatty acids inclined to
react with the alkali catalyst in biodiesel construction to configure soap
alternate of biodiesel.
Used waste grease with more than 15% free fatty acids is called "Brown
grease".
