Glycerin purification

A process for purifying glycerin derived from obtaining biodiesel is described, the process comprising acidifying glycerin. Feeding the glycerin to an electro dialysis unit comprising at least one exchange membrane and at least one anion exchange membrane separated. Where the Glycerin purification is fed into the diluted compartment and in the concentrated compartment a NaCl solution  apply a potential difference so that the ions present in the glycerin migrate through the anionic and exchange membranes from the diluted compartments to the concentrated compartments. The purity of the glycerin and a stable quality are very important in the production of for applications ranging from chemical.
