Renewable diesel

SRS offers a catalyst-driven, renewable diesel operation that is fully feedstock flexible. The fuel generated by this process is also indistinguishable from petroleum diesel and meets the ASTM D975 specification for petroleum-derived diesel fuel. Distiller corn oil fully recovered from an ethanol plant is an excellent feedstock for this process, generating co-location chances for current ethanol plants. The SRS renewable diesel process results in a high feedstock modification rate for diesel approaching 85%. This process also generates a some amount of water, naphtha and propane, which are invaluable co-products. Unlike biodiesel, the renewable diesel can be further refined into higher-value fuels, such as marine distillate and renewable jet fuel that meet all evaluative ASTM identifications and decrease falling. The renewable diesel also has far superior cold flow properties and a lower cloud point than customary biodiesel.
