Transesterification
is a chemical reaction used for the conversion of fats contained in oils into
usable biodiesel. Biodiesel produced by the process of transesterification has a much lower viscosity, and helps to makes
it capable of replacing petroleum diesel in diesel engines. The biodiesel

transesterification of triglycerides which are the main component of animal
fats and vegetable oils. The most common type of esters is methyl esters,
